Description

Cave Pearls of Meghalaya Vol. 1

The first volume in a planned three volume set (of which the first two are published so far, in 2018) covering exploration in the Pala Range and Kopili Valley and the expeditions of 2010, 2011 and 2012. General topics include the geology, subterranean ecology, spiders and bats, but the major portion is given over to surveys and cave descriptions. A CD with additional details and surveys is included, which offers a satellite image with cave overlays. This is an important work.

The book is shrink-wrapped (imperfections in the cover image arise from this; this is a new book).

A review was published in Descent (233), and is also included on this site.

Only UK destinations are permitted for ordering. If you require an overseas destination, please enquire; we can supply, but we will quote specifically for the additional postage (the quoted price here includes postage to UK destinations, only) as this is a large, heavy book at around 1.4kg.
