Secure payment

We use a secure payment gateway, Powered by Barclaycard, for online transactions. Wild Places Publishing is not in possession of your sensitive card details at any time during this process because although our software adds your intended purchase to the shopping basket, all security and data handling for your card details is undertaken by Barclaycard. When you are making the payment itself, you are no longer using our software.

In addition, the Wild Places website is secured with SSL certification that covers all pages, ensuring that all your data (such as your name and address) is encrypted when transmitted. If you check the website address in your browser, you will find it starts with https: (where the 's' indicates a secure site) and shows a green padlock, as verified by Symantec.

We currently accept Visa, Mastercard and Maestro cards to make payment through the service (we do not accept American Express).

Your card payment will be checked with a 3D-Secure stage as an extra layer of security provided by the credit and debit card companies; this is Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode as appropriate (or other security checks used by the banks). Please note that your Invoice Address must match the registered address for the card you use, or the transaction will be declined as a security measure.

You are also extremely welcome to send us a cheque or, indeed, a postal order. We can accept personal cheques in the post if drawn on a UK bank and we can only accept postal orders issued by a British post office. Please make cheques and postal orders payable to Wild Places Publishing and send them to Wild Places Publishing, PO Box 100, Abergavenny NP7 9WY, UK.

Further notes concerning Maestro card, cheque and postal order payments appear in the Payment FAQ, as well as covering possible reasons for any failure to make payment successfully. If you have any additional queries, please contact us – we are here to help.
