Exploring Caves by C.H.D. Cullingford, No. 10 in the Compass Books series
Prices include delivery
Exploring Caves by C.H.D. Cullingford is one of those classic caving books of the 1950s, generally undervalued for its content. Cullingford wrote from his love of caving, opening with general topics such as legends, smuggling and why go caving anyway. Then, Cullingford takes a tour around Britain's caving regions, describing the caves that he has visited, before ending with some caving advice and an appendix of caving clubs. He records special thanks to South Wales Caving Club and has included a survey of Llygad Llwchwr; many simple but fine drawings are scattered through the text.
